LAKEVIEW FARM

It was been a busy weekend. The new job with my friend is going very nicely. Not only am I meeting some nice new people who pop into the shop, but have reconnected with some old friends I haven't seen in years. The first thing I hear is , Is the Mistress back? While I say yes and no, they seem to be pleased. Ill probably never give up Bucks County. Yesterday was one of our first really big events since I came on board. A wedding for two Harrisburg police. There was over 170 center pieces to be made along with eucalyptus bunches with lavender that the guest could take, all the bridal bouquets and a huge swag for an arbor. And who wouldn't want to pin bootintiers on 8 handsome police officers?!?! A perk to the job?  Needless to stay, thats, a ton of flowers and plants. Once at the venue, in York County, Lakeview Farm, could it really be considered work? The place was breathtaking! And it was a relaxing day. We even had time to rest between some change that required some florals to move, and were ahead of schedule.  I think that barn weddings make for some of the prettiest and memorable weddings for me.  The place was a farm originally dating back to 1833 and remained a working farm till sometime in the 90's. It sat vacant for some years, till a lady from Colorado bought it and turned it into a wedding venue and persevered all of it's buildings with some updates. Mostly a horse farm now, and she lives on the property for certain months I understand. The bride and groom seemed most happy and pleased with the florals...both were very radiant. I love being in nature and love animals....so again, was it work?

Original din -din bell!
This was the house I could be happy in. I loved it.
Of course the highlight was seeing horses. I miss being around them like in my youth when my half brother a stable of them.
A cute miniature horse....
And a ornery mule!
I wonder if they need a grounds keeper?
