I had to look up that drink recipe, sweetpea! While it sounds delicious, my live-in bartender (the MITM), said it was too complicated and why wasn't a G&T enough for me??? Sometimes I wonder why I keep him around! *wink* Enjoy your weekend, darling! xoxo
Savannah, Milleson here, you need to tell that live-in bartender of yours to love you a little more and stop with that "it's too complicated" excuse. It only has 4 ingredients, the trouble may be finding rhubarb syrup, but once you make the effort to make and freeze some in jars, it's a great summertime refreshing cocktail with just a bit of a buzz after 3 or 4 LOL. Cheers to you and all the Mistress's friends and admirers.
OMG, sweetpea! I just read your comment to him and he said, "I guess he just told me what to do!" I think the key was the "summertime refreshing cocktail" that sealed the deal! xoxo
An Amelia Earhart sounds like a great idea. I can never figure out what to do all with my rhubarb syrup! For some reason I’ve suddenly got to boogie. But please don’t talk about love tonight.
The SECOND very best thing to come out of the Covid-19 lock-down, beside the BLISSFUL peace and quiet around the planet for several weeks, was teaching myself to make a PHENOMENAL Dirty Martini! Even mastered the Acela Dry Martini (twist of lemon) taught to me by the barkeep on the train ride from Providence to Philly on a ride many years ago.
Loves me's Stoli!
Every couple of weeks I treat myself to a shaker full of sublime happiness!
An Amelia Earhart? Doesn't that mean you're going to go missing halfway across an ocean or something if you drink one? Jx
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of why she kept a pencil in the cockpit.....she wanted to sketch a flight plan just in case she’d have to wing it!

ReplyDeleteHave a great long weekend, Maddie -- just stop drinking when the olives start to pole dance or strip, eh?!
ReplyDeleteStop? But that's when Maddie will really get going!

I'm stockpiled for the future drought.
Some of my best and favorite drinks were discovered on trains Rade!
DeleteEnjoy the long weekend! I'll say a silent prayer that the tariffs don't affect the price or the supply of Hendricks!
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of tariffs from Iceland or Scottland, but I will never give up on gin.
DeleteWhile it's only a three day weekend here, I've booked Tuesday off work too, so I'll join you in that Amelia Earhart. Bottoms up!
ReplyDeleteWhen isn't it up?
DeleteI love that vintage cocktail image!!! How fun!
