ILLUMINATION WEEKEND OF GLAMPING........

I sure hope everybody had a lovely weekend!!!! Yours truly was away in the Pocono Mountains, where my good friend Gary has an incredible site at the ever entertaining Woods Campground. It's always a good time there, filled with a very friendly staff, beautiful grounds, and also chalk full of fun events and great people to meet. After a couple gins,  a bear got very friendly with me!!!! I thought I was going to be held captive!!!! He seemed to be enthralled with my denim shorts. The Mistress was quite scandalous this time. I danced in my white sport briefs at the club house, then a midnight undies hike, followed by a nude swim!!!! And we'll leave it there. Now I told you it was glamping, the Mistress doesn't do no tent and where does one put a ice maker and wet bar in a tent?...

The site where I stay, my good friend Gary's site, Cock Crossing....

Gary's golf cart Margarita , who is always carting my drunk exhausted ass around...

For the late night wind down.....

Illumination  weekend  is always one of my favorite weekend up there, as most of the sites deck out with various themes for their sites, lighting of all sorts, but the candle light, and the luminary bags that's line the roads is my favorite part. One site was even launching off Chinese lanterns, with a flame inside. It was interesting to see how high they went before going out. It was a very fun evening....

This was our site..... almost about 200 tea lites in colored plastic cups. There now, are we all lit?

The site next to us did a carnival theme. One entered through a maze to arrive to a games section, where you could win glow sticks, shots of fireball, or various other objects.

The garden of Adam and Steve!!!

Mister Bubble.....

entrance to another site....

These guys actually erected a Stonehenge....

Here was a group that did the Wizards of Oz....complete with back drop and a real, huge blown balloon! The basket acted as a shot bar.

The beautifully lit pathways.....

PEACE!

Over at my friends Brett and Brian's, they did a lovely paper umbrella theme with candles lighting them up.....

They even offered up little cock-a-tails with mini umbrellas.... as one can see they were popular!

Loved the gay theme here...

a love me some lanterns....

a frog pond with tea lites on the lily pads.

How cool is this? A old dead tree with empty gin and vodka bottles on it!!!! Contrary to belief, the Mistress didn't in any way help with this.

One of my favorites sites was this......

This couple had made all these square bags with gold trim. You could get one and write a poem, verse or a remembrance to a loved one. I got two, one for my dear, recently departed friend, Andromeda Strain, who was a ole good friend, and he was also a co-worker from another job. He was much older then I, but I enjoyed hearing his stories of gay life, as he did hearing mine. And a long friendship was formed. The other was for the lovely Lauren Bacall.

Here is the ever cute Reagan write on his bag.....

Later that night all the bags were launched, about 300 in all, in the pool with candles in them for the memories of all..... it was quite beautiful.

Later at the club house, it was a night of dancing. It was a long night!!!!

The Nature

Sunday was a beautiful day for the pool...

followed by a nature walk.....

What a lovely weekend. Many thanks to my friend Gary, and the staff at the Woods Campground for yet another wonderful time!!!!!

Mistress Back and Feeling Good

Well, well, well, I didn't fall off the face of the earth! The Mistress had a wonderful vacation and time off work. Filled with some time up north with the Mother and good friend Andromeda Strain, a pool party, A Miss Richfield Drag Show, a Marc Chagall art Exhibit, men, some cock-a-tails and then five days at the beach!!!! And just so everyone knows, I did run around squeezing the boy's muscles while on the beach! The vacation started out with a trip up north where I spent time with the family, and a girls catch up dinner and gallery show with my good friend Andromeda Strain. Then there was dinner with friends another night and followed up by a pool party by the handsome Harrisburg Uptown Boys!!!! What great hospitable host they were! I even cooked out one night with some Grilled salmon and shrimp!

Buster Bolfig Borghese had no faith in me as he thought I might burn up the dinner! Or he was worried the Mistress was to close to fire after a couple gin and tonics!?!

Next up was a quick trip back to Philadelphia before heading to the beach. Since my plans fell threw with my sister Mame, AKA David Dust due to some drinking problems she was tending too, or lack of drinking problems, I changed plans to see Miss Richfield 1981 who was making a appearance at the Society Hill Playhouse.

And her show didn't disappoint. Miss Richfield had the place in stitches. Dedicating her life to the friendly citizens and responsible merchants of her hometown, Miss Richfield 1981 is fast becoming one of America's national treasures. This Midwestern maven is winning over theater and cabaret audiences around the country with an interactive format that combines homespun warmth and edgy improv, leaving audiences in hysterics with a truly original performance. In her new show "30 Years On The Throne!", Miss R looks back at her storybook life celebrating three decades of beauty sovereignty as reigning queen of Richfield, Minnesota, "where butter is a spice and gravy is a beverage". She is now scheduled back for two more performances. Great show Miss Richfield!!!

After the show it was back to the Casa Du Borhgese to slumber and nip before heading to Rehoboth Beach the next day for some good food, many happy hours at the Blue Moon and some beach time. I just love this gay town! Along the Atlantic coast in often-overlooked Delaware sits this gay-popular beach--one square mile of cottages, grand mansions, and sparkling sands. The town's boardwalk connects 75 eateries and gourmet restaurants (many gay-owned), including the pioneering Back Porch Café, which welcomed a gay group back in 1974. The town includes lodging options for all budgets, a surprisingly vibrant nightlife for such a small community, arts, galleries, events and, of course, the all-important beach. And the beautiful scenery!

The Mistress got back home later last week and had to work a whole three days before the weekend, but not before she got one last hurrah in when she got a call from the Lad and crew to go into Philly to see the Marc Chagall art exhibit and dinner at Granite Hill. Who was I to pass up an art show, and dinner at a Steven Starr joint. My latest obsession is dinning at all his establishments. You can read about that day over at Gals About Town. It was a real nice time I must say and this cute guy got me turned on to this new liqueur called Domaine de Canton. It is a ginger liqueur infused with cognac. So smooth over the rocks- just chilled! There is already two bottles in the liqueur cabinet!!! Tootles!
