It was GORGEOUS out in P-Town this past weekend! We came out for a couple of days and just enjoyed the town. It felt... subdued. Quiet. Though noted some really cute cops directing traffic down by Cabot's...
What struck me were the volume of young families; parents with children in tow. It reminded me of my dear friends who would spend two weeks each Summer out there, with their children, to give them a positive exposure to diversity. I think so fondly of those days. It's nice to see that sensibility prevailing today. We also noted a lot of older married couples, retirees. It was nice. Affirming.
Had a wonderful time. Shopped, spent a FORTUNE on stuff. Found a new shirt at Marine Specialty and a nice stained glass art piece at "Made It!" We stayed at the Dune Crest at the top of the hill before P-Town. Lovely place! Helen (owner) just finished a full renovation of the facility and it shows - just gorgeous, quiet and quite affordable for in-season. And 5 minutes to Macmillian pier parking.
The Boat Slip hasn’t changed much, has it?!? Gertz and Bubbles are adorable.

ReplyDeleteOhhh
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! And those two ladies are SERVING!
XOXO
With the way Gertz Crawford and Bubbles are dressed, all I can say is:
ReplyDelete"Gosh, you're having a swell time!"
Holy.... That place is PACKED. One could hardly move through that throng without bumping....
ReplyDeleteNice scenery. Gertz and Bubbles are wearing the same shoes I wore to my high school graduation! That hit me right in the feels.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's how to really mix and mingle at a party! Gertz & Bubbles reminded me of the waitress from the cover of a Supertramp album, LOL!
ReplyDeleteIf that's a tea-dance, why is no-one doing the foxtrot?! Jx
ReplyDeleteYou sure do get around!
ReplyDeleteEntertaining !!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad no one showed up for the tea dance! Gertz and Bubbles are adorable!!! Keep on and keepin' on.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
My god, it's been 4000 years since I stepped foot in The Boatslip.
ReplyDeleteProvincetown = Party Town
ReplyDeleteYou bet Mads got down and boogied :-)
CA jock
It looks like a blast! Wow what a party!
ReplyDeleteNifty guy in a shark! Too many people for me, and, if it's a Tea Dance, why is no one dancing? It's rather a Tea Stand, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWorry not. That is just one section....under where we're standing on the balcony is the dancing and all way to the inside dance floor.
DeleteSEND HELP.....The Mistress is drinking to town dry!!! SOS.
ReplyDeleteLooks fun, and what a lot of skin!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be here when you come back from Gay Heaven.
ReplyDeleteI expect the full salacious details of your vacation ! :-)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh dear! With readers not working I had no idea you posted this. What a tea dance! Nice to see some traditions in Provincetown continue.
ReplyDeleteNow that looks like loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteThat tea dance is very people but I think I could cope with squeezing through one or two in that crowd. You'll have to remind me how its done, Maddie.
