This week the Casa'du Borghese's Parton Saint of Drag and elder states queen Lady Bunny, is our Grande Dame this week. Can one ever really get enough of the vulgar, and fabulous fashionista of style??? Why she is the end all of drag for me, and the one who inspired me into it. The legend behind the larger-than-life bouffant has been performing since the ‘80s and Bunny has remained faithful to her signature look, which calls to mind Dusty Springfield rendered as a Thanksgiving parade float on fabulous gams. She and her gargantuan bouffant became New York club fixtures in the 1980s, and have since gone on to wider notoriety. Lady Bunny co-created N.Y.’s now-defunct Wigstock drag queen festival — Wigstock: The Movie turned 20 last year — and has been a judge on RuPaul’s Drag U. Bun-Bun can be seen all over the planet, and her shows are pure hilarity. More than any performer I saw this year “the old pig in a wig,” as she calls herself, made me weep with laughter, often while groaning with disgust. And isn’t that what the best low comedy is all about? Most recently, she can be seen in That Ain't no Lady, Hot Mess with Bianca Del Rio, and National Treasure. Following 2014’s Clown’s Syndrome, Lady Bunny returns with another new show, Trans Jester for her latest song-and-joke show, where she’ll entertain with crude pop parodies and stand-up about celebrities and other hot messes of today. That means you, Caitlyn Jenner. Check out Bun-Bun's blog or click icon in the sidebar. too for more politico talk, drag, pop culture, jokes and show dates. And if she asks you to click on something....don't say I didn't warn you.
And check out her new song slamming Drag Race queens set to Vogue!!! FUNNY!!!!!!
