C-PHER

When you think of drag, you think of certain countries I think as having any kind of drag performance art and a community. It's amazing how far it has reach. C-Pher is one such queen to emerge from Chile. This fierce queen is a drag artist and cosplayer, in addition to being a costume maker and artist. After performing in drag shows and cosplay, C-Pher went on to compete on Solo Las Mas. an All-Stars version for La Las Draga, which she won, and two other drag competition shows, which found her as runner ups, before winning the second season of Versus Drag Queens.C-Pher is both a reference to a character of a manga she is a fan of and a combination of several initials related to her. I can recall the first time seeing her and was simply blown away by the make-up technique and her creations. The level of details these international queens execute is sick. I'd love to see her compete against some of the US queens on an All Stars.

    4. Some great looks she's assembled there. It takes a lot --- and it's expensive, to boot.

    8. I watched her compete in La Más and it was everything.
Love her style, her references and the fact that she can be campy/cosplay AND glam. A Queen 360 indeed.

      XOXO

    9. C-Pher's style in the first 3 photos is stunning! I like her eye make-up too (VERY dramatic!), but the nose contouring line makes her look like an antelope, IMHO -- especially in Photos #5 and #8.

      1. See the antelope is the cosplay!!!! Lol!!! That is a thing newer queens do. When I did drag and the queens of the 80 90s and early 2000....didn't do the contour like they all do know. She stands out at least. So many queens these days just now blend together.

As I have a great admiration for the Men of Drag. Ms. Jessica Daniels is a dear friend who in the 90s appear on the Mavy Polichiv Show as Ms. Gay Louisiana... We dont do justice to the Drag Culture here, I can tell Yall do.. its exciting for me to view True Drag on your Blog

      1. The southern queens when I was coming up were huge and a big draw and inspiration for many queens. There shows were often highly entertaining...even thought they weren't highly polished. Back when drag was on the fly and raw.
