What a day and night it was!!!!!
Finally, possibly the country could be moving back in the right direction. My own personal victory came after helping out with the US Representative Janelle Stelson campaign, and she finally beat the idiot, Scott Perry!!!! It's been a thorn in my side since moving back to this area, and she finally beat him. Of course, I was also never a fan of the State Rep for my area either Sheryl Delozier, who was stepping down and that seat also flipped to blue for Sara Agerton, who I did some volunteer work last election. This was a huge one since no Democrat had the seat for a period of 55 years!! It's about time the area started to turn blue, one thing I miss since moving from the Southeast of Philly and Bucks County. And our very own governor Josh Sharpio crushed his opponent. Now may Stacy Garritty hire a stylist.
The others-
Our first Latina governor Gina Hinojosa, sends the Texas, despicable, meal on wheels Greg Abbott packing. Good riddance.
Keisha Lance Bottoms gets elected as first female Black governor in Georgia!!!! As did Rep Bryon Donalds, making him Floridias first Black governor. And one of the best parts of the night was seeing Amy Acton beating the snot out of the smug bastard Vivek Ramaswamy. I COULD NOT STAND HIM. I have always liked Chris Christie, and agreed with many of his observations last night. He said that low move Ramaswamy made with that campaign ad sent him to the dust bin permanently, also said it may have sealed JD Vance's future fate since he was one of the few to stand by Ramaswamy.
Chris Pappas had a smooth sail in New Hampshire's senate race making him the first openly gay man elected to the US Senate.
Democratic Annie Andrews beat Lindsay belles sister in South Carolina.
Democrat Roy Cooper has a sweet win over his opponent in North Carolina for a senate seat and flipped that long standing red seat to blue.
Deb Harrland also won in a landslide victory as the first Native American Woman voted in as a governor in New Mexico.
James Talarico became the first democratic to win a statewide office in 32 years defeating the Dumps pick. Heavens...could Texas ever turn blue?
That squid billy up north Susan Collins went down finally with her flim flamming and got beat by Troy Jackson.
I guess not many were impressed by Jon Husted and his ass, because his democratic challenger Sherrod Brown won the Ohio senate seat.
And El-Sayed's race, at least when I was getting ready to turn into bed at 2am looked to be winning. I love him. This would make him the first Muslim elected to the US Senate. UPDATE-HE WON! Broke just as I turned in!
One down fall...Chris Gallant in New York did not beat his challenger Nick LaLota but it was a close call. A friend told me had the tidbit and photos not come out featuring him in leather and restraints, he may have won.
It was interesting to see how these new breed Democrats and progressive brought in numbers that far outperformed Kalama Harris's number in trump areas, who came out and voted Democrat. Florida's plans to redistrict and redraw lines in favor of Republicans backfired of their asses, and the new districts went blue!! Bwahahahahahaha!!!!
It was also very sweet to see Elon Muskrat with his billions couldn't buy an election.
Another plus...we took back the house and the senate!!! I do hope the party will elect a new House Speaker from the party and not a tired old democratic or Hakeem Jefferies, who much like Schumer and Pelosi does not support and endorse many of these newer candidates and progressives. All three would not support El-Sayed and threw their support and endorsed Haley Stevens. Well, well, well...and look how that turned out! BUT it will be soooooo sweet to see that damn little Keebler Elf Mike Johnston get the boot! Now that we got many winners, lets us hope they actually deliver the goods they say they will. We The People deserve better, and are tired of being blackmailed for our votes, then nothing gets done or passed. FOLLOW Mamdani and deliver. We got the house and senate now don't fuck it up. And enough with investigations. Americans are over the bullshit and wasting time. Time to get down to business, and right the ship. Or the pendulum will swing back again.
Talk about a great night...can you hear heads exploding???
Plus, it's always nice seeing Wit Johnson reporting.... swoon...
So there was that too.

I've hardly slept because OMG THE BLUE TSUNAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm on cloud 9 this morning!!! I didn't dare dream of such a wonderful outcome. What a great day for our country!
ReplyDeleteAnd finally representation as it should be!!!!!!! Have a good day Jennifer!
DeleteI'm so proud of Ohio. I honestly thought it would stay red. Cannot believe it. And Texas? Oh my god. I love the fact the winners are such a diverse group: Muslim, black, gay, female, Native American. The way it should be. Enough of these old (old) white men (and Susan Collins) running the country.
ReplyDeleteIm happy for you. I couldn't imagine that smug bastard Ramaswamy as your governor!!!! I think he is done.
DeleteCongrats to every sane person in the USA! Now, on to impeachment.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! It was a nice night to stay up late!
ReplyDeleteIm dragging now...after doing some volunteering and then up late.
DeleteOMG babes!
ReplyDeleteIt’s been such a NIGHT!
Thanks much for volunteering!
I hope Chris Gallant stays in politics. That is a RED area.and it was a close call.
XOXO
If he runs again for the same seat...he may take it next time.. thats what happened here.
DeleteHELL YES! I had gone to be and did not see many of these wins yet! This is great news!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTrump and the administration and party finally got their comeuppance!
And your right about a new speaker. They need a new person to take the place. Shame on all three of the ones you mentioned for endorsing Haley Stevens. Shame, shame. The candidates they endorse are not winning. A great observation Maddie
I agree. Jefferies is not well liked with the Democrat base. They need a fresh person I think. And the three of them should be ashamed. Especially since Schumer even hand picked Haley Stevens. The other two werent much better. If they dont get the message then they are already useless.
DeleteWhat a great morning!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, my face is starting to cramp from all the smiling. Let's get this country back to where everyone is represented and has a place at that table, and what this country is all about.
Here! Here!
DeleteThe Yellow Dog bit the hell out of 'em!!
ReplyDeleteTalk about a political part extinction !!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad that both those races in your area went blue!!!! Amazing night.
ReplyDeleteI went to sleep about 11 with things still up in the air, and woke at 5:15 to check the GREAT NEWS.
ReplyDeleteSouth Carolina went Blue!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEffing Texas, too.
What a great night, now let's get to work and right this ship!!!!
You got that right! No time for rest and we aren't out of the woods yet. We still got two years the great dump yet...and he is a unstable idiot.
DeleteI was so happy for Gina Hinojosa, Deb Haarland and El-Sayed won!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved that El-Sayed said directly to Trump and Vance that if they have problems saying his name, just call him Senator!!! That was great.
Just for the record...
Abdul El-Sayed is, in fact, a doctor. He earned both an M.D. from Columbia University and a doctorate in public health from Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. While he chose a career in public health and epidemiology instead of completing a residency and becoming a practicing physician, that doesn't erase his medical degree or his doctoral credentials.
Criticizing his policies is fair; claiming he isn't a doctor is simply false. He showed them!
A huge win over the next two years would be Congress beginning to do its job again after many decades of allowing the Executive Branch to accumulate power. The Democrats now must work and bring the results for sure.
ReplyDeletePermanently restore the separation of powers and neuter the Executive Branch back to its Constitutional limits.
Then pass legislation that will balance the budget and begin to pay down the debt in a sustainable manner.
If the Dems do that over the next two years we will have a foundation to begin bringing the nation back from its accelrating fiscal spiral.
Of course, that will require a Bill Clinton like look at our expansive "safety net" system. We simply can't turn this ship around without reversing the trend of throwing more and more of our GDP at propping people up. We need to raise expectations for personal responsibility.
Swet Indeed. Trump absolutely was on the ballot.
ReplyDeleteHe said so himself repeatedly before the results were way too big to even try to say were rigged. This is two crushing midterms for him, he lost the Senate twice now. He lost Republican Texas. He primaried Cornyn. He called for unconstitutional gerrymandering mid-decade; the Supreme Court and several states obliged his mad whims. It cost them. Bigly! Some of his own personal hand picks lost greatly..... Come on Mississippi!
Mississippi. MISSISSIPPI is so fucking close!!!! 50 votes. 50!!!! I hope he remains at the top.
ReplyDeleteYou know a party is fucked up and didn't do their job when even deep red states send a big middle finger!!!! And we warned them this administration would turn their backs on them.
DeleteI am absolutely delighted for you all. Xx 😁
ReplyDeleteAnd Im delighted to say I'm glad we delighted you to say that!!!!
DeleteEl-Sayed won. One big thing to note is that all of these wins were by big margins! (except for Mississippi, where there will be a recount). Another big thing is that knives are now out in the Republican party which is on the verge of turning into a Civil War.
ReplyDeleteI know several Republicans who even voted Democrat!
DeleteI didn’t dare imagine this scenario. Better than I could have dreamed. And, yeah, Whit Johnson.
ReplyDeleteYippy yay!
ReplyDeleteCan you say Blue Tsunami ? :) 🌊
ReplyDeleteAdam Hamilton won a senate seat in Kansas, the first time a Democrat has won since 1932 !
And we have a blue flood in Iowa !
Rob Sand is governor, Josh Turek is a senator and Sarah Trone Garriott and Christina Bohannan are reps.
Looks like the tariffs of Trumpenomics did Repubs in, another Republican economic failure like Reaganomics.
And of course the blue tsunami will have worldwide repercussions. The right ward march of Latin America and Europe will be stymied, and in Israel the corrupt Netanyahu and his extremists will more than likely be on their way out.
They won’t have their enablers in the US government to encourage and prop them up anymore.

Congratulations and "well done" to every American who voted blue. Watching the GOP's near-extinction event from Canada felt so damned good! Now you just have to keep Trumpenfuhrer away from the Nuclear Codes... may I suggest a straight-jacket and heavy sedation?
