In honor of Hallows Eve approaching, here is a long-forgotten clip of "I Enjoy Being a Girl" performed by Carol Burnett, Chita Rivera and Caterina Valente. The clip was actually from a show called "The Entertainers", sometime between 1964/1965...which happened to be when "The Addams Family" was also on the air...hence it being more likely to be inspired by Morticia than Vampira. And how about the appearance by Boris Karloff at the beginning and end of the clip?
I've always loved that clip! See my Hallowe'en-ish post from 2021... Jx
ReplyDeleteSee...great gin infused minds think alike!
DeleteThree talented Vampiras !
ReplyDeleteBoris Karloff, a true professional and trouper ! By this time he was suffering from severe joint pain in his hips, knees and ankles. He refused to take pain killers prescribed to him by doctors out of fear he would end up addicted to drugs like Bela Lugosi. Despite needing crutches Karloff insisted on standing on his own, putting up with his joint pain while filming. In his last film Karloff was confined to a wheelchair.
