History abounds in this community. Our visit on the PA side was educational and enjoyable! Bowman's Hill Tower is nearby. The Gift Shop at the museum is small but it has a few nice items for sale including informative books, glass George Washington Ornaments, postcards, etc. We want to go back sometime to see the re enactment sometime. And stop in New Hope. <br />Bucks County Boyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02099052355059937168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8188983699731524293.post-51962851520199087462015-12-27T00:11:00.411-05:002015-12-27T00:11:00.411-05:00Amazing piece of history to be living near.Amazing piece of history to be living near.Cello Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10100487760436221721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8188983699731524293.post-15446155095601793642015-12-27T00:05:15.728-05:002015-12-27T00:05:15.728-05:00Wonderful setting. The 18th and early 19th century structures in both the park and the village add charm to the overall experience. My ancestors who lived in New Jersey at the time would have been dismayed by Washington's successful crossing because they were loyal to the British Crown. Ultimately they fled to Ontario as United Empire Loyalists, which is why I'm a Canadian today.Debra She Who Seekshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01845703092794695023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8188983699731524293.post-78941926066627273192015-12-26T18:25:54.009-05:002015-12-26T18:25:54.009-05:00Thanks for the historical post!
