THE LATE NIGHT PRIDE PARTY

What... with it being Pride Month what would it be without letting ourselves go and dancing our asses off! In the tradition of our good friend and great ally, Anne Marie... and I being a creature of the night...it's time for Saturday Night Pride  Dances! Listen or hit play while you're doing whatever it is your doing around the house....and just move children!

  1. Caught "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert" in the Sylvester video. That's going waaaayyyy back! Nice of Kirshner to recognize disco as a form of, rather than a threat to, rock, which few did at the time.

  6. The Donna Summer and the Hazell Dean - I'm right back in my disco dancing years, all too short but ever so evocative despite getting on for 40 years since. Unforgettable - just as is the late, great Warrior Queen - YESSSSS!

    1. Hope you been doing well Raybeard! I adore Hazel Dean. A few years ago, 2015 I believe, she had a release titled They Say It's Gonna Rain....excellent!

  7. I might just be the oddest old person ever...but I enjoy this music. My neighbors must think the old bag is listening to house music again. And I just adore Sabrina Carpenter. This give me Anne Marie Saturday vibes! Happy Pride!

  9. Happy Pride everyone! Excellent old and new together. And you'd have to put Runway and Work it Out in order....two songs I JUST CAN'T RESIST MOVING MY BODY WHEN IT COMES ON ! I am listening to these as I do my cleaning...though not much is getting cleaned.

  13. I swear....the best music happened in the late 80's and the 90's. Clubs suck now.Why can't they make music like this anymore these days? I went and downloaded many of these.

    1. I still go out and club, but music is a shell of itself compared to the 90's and early 2000's that for sure.

  15. I'm too old for this music; and now I am addicted to Italian opera.

    1. I like some opera....but a little of it goes a long way, so I don't foresee any Saturday Opera Dance parties, alas.

  16. I'm sorry I missed the party. I should've paid more intention to the invites I get.

Cela rappelle des souvenirs de l’époque du disco ; les États-Unis maîtrisaient le disco bien mieux que l’Europe.
