BRAVO PRESIDENTE SHEINBAUM

Bravo President Sheinbaum!

Yet another country gets it right, takes care of its own and stops spending billions on war. This is what it looks like when your government cares more about you then serving its financier donors. In the US only progressives want to regulate banks so that loans are less predatory. Yet progressives within the Democrat party seldom do anything they ran on, let alone the Republicans do any good for anyone. Mexico's President Sheinbaum says "We are removing all unpayable debts. The credits were designed as a business for a few." 5 million predatory mortgage loans issued during neoliberal period to be restructured or eliminate.

Heavens forbid our politicians did such a thing here to help the less fortunate in these hard times. It seems if we stay on track we will have no benefits to living in this country soon. Look how the party in charge is gutting the voting rights act and moving or cancelled primaries. Yet people don't seem to see it or even in states where We the People have spoken, that state is totally disregarding what the people want. It's time me thinks to vote and remove 90% of sitting politicians. We should be more than mad as hell.

RESIST, INSIST, PERSIST, ENLIST!

ORGANIZE!  MOBILIZE!

  1. Well, a woman had to set the example.
And we know why the oligarchs and the Cankles administration were confabulating to tie her down..

    XOXO

    ¡ Viva Presidenta Scheinbaum ! 🇲🇽

  3. She simply rocks! And more important, she doesn't take any shit from Trump.

  4. Sadly, with GOP in charge and complicit in protecting rapists and pedophiles and con artists and billionaires, not much can be done until we vote them out. And if that doesn't happen, rise up!

    1. No matter what party is in, we would never see our government or politicians doing this here. When either party is in and has all the branches and would have the votes, they still don't get anything done. I liked Obama, and he had all the branches of government and pretty close to the votes to raise minimum wage and codify Roe vs Wade and didn't do it. I hope when us Dems get everything back, I hope they pass things, things needed by Americans ...otherwise we are just as bad holding everyone over barrels with campaign promises', that will always be empty.

    2. Yep. There were plenty of failures when the dems held all 3 branches. Pelosi added to those failures.

    3. I agree! If the Dems don't start embracing more progressive and left leaning candidates, ready to take us in a new direction and more with it...Like David Hogg and Hansn Piker and Mandami and the like, they are going to have a hard time getting younger voters and indepentants.

  6. It is BEYOND me why there has not been a uprising in the US yet. Are we all gluttons for more punishment?????????? I spend part of the year in Mexico since I have a duel citzenship.Everyone pays taxes in México; we have lifted 14 million people out of poverty. We raised the minimum wage, reduced the weekly working hours, implemented a robust social program for older people, we've built infrastructure like we haven't seen in decades and we reduced violence.

  7. I don't live in Mexico, but I can say she is not perfect but definitely better than all recent presidents they have had for decades. And doing better than other own government.

  8. It is aspirational. Can't wait to see what they do in Hungary.

  9. I also read an article two couple ago that she has also now rolled out universal healthcare and will be in all be in place by 2028. We seem to be a country that can't get anything worthwhile passed that really matters.

    1. That is pretty amazing. I wonder if we'll ever see the day where we'll have affordable health care and prescriptions and a higher minimum wage? At this rate I have no faith in any of them.

    HuntleyBiGuy:
This is how it’s done. I do know that some education loans were canceled due to the educational institutions providing worthless degrees/certifications. But rarely are the lenders declared predatory.

    1. And the mahogany Empress is right, I did see where she just approved Universal Health Care for all in Mexico. All these countries doing good things and we're going backwards. I'm sure we're going to be known as the greediest most capitalistic country in the world soon.

  11. The criminal gang currently running your country and turning it into billionaire protection zone only reminds the remaining democracies in the world how easy it is to lose democracy. Sheinbaum shows how, even with criminal gangs running swathes of Mexico, you can help those in need and hold onto democratic ideals.

  12. If the results of yesterday's primaries are any indication, the republican voters haven't learned a damn thing.

    1. And boy the Republican Party sure got smug over knocking Massie out of his seat! They're dancing over that. But have they not seen the results from the last couple of primaries and special elections??

    2. They're trusting that the fix is in and the MAGAts will take over both houses of Congress in the midterms.
