A Monday poem today, me thinks.
Against the sweet joy of wasting my time,
Your blankets a lover, the pillow's a dream,
But Monday arrives like a cold curdled scream.
The inbox will be bloating, a digital rot,
So crawl from the sheets with a groan and a sigh.
Put on the professional mask, but enter near me with caution,
Only five days of penance 'til Friday's sweet spark-
Now time to be a rockstar before it gets dark.
How's that for a Monday Mood?
Have a good one everyone.

Both cookies and cake! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI love spoiling you all.
DeleteI wish my Cyclamen was more erect. Yours is setting a very good example, as per.

A VERY good one. Thank you! Love that Dalmation...so cute.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute houses! Too bad we can't have those here in earthquake country.
ReplyDeleteThat first house is my dream pied de terre.
DeleteCock and Cocteau! I couldn’t ask for more.
ReplyDeleteI saw that movie Le Testament de Orph'ee this weekend.....very bizarre.
DeleteJ’adore votre tableau d’inspiration pour lundi :)

I've also got loads of cyclamen in flower, many of them seeded from corms my mother gave me. In my turn I have passed some on to my niece.
ReplyDeleteI have never planted them in my garden. It is way too cold for them here.
DeleteYou have a great day, too!
ReplyDeleteYes, please and thank you for all the delicious eye candy and desserts, sweetpea! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm currently watching 101 Dalmatians, so yes.
And that guy's erection would be absolutely welcome, right now....
XOXO
And it was a rigid one too!
DeleteI see the wonderful folks at blogger are at their conservative selves again...
ReplyDeleteYes, once again the "content warning".
DeleteLiked the poem, Maddie. At least for me, yet another talent of yours that I didn't know about.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were a poet! I really, really liked that.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday,
ReplyDeleteNice poem, Mads. I was expecting something along the lines of There once was a man from Nantucket. That's probably just the mood I'm in today.
ReplyDeleteOh....well if you want some or those...I have plenty of them....and dirty sea shanties.
DeleteYour mood board works great on Tuesday too, Maddie! Love the blooms, cakes and the Dalmation who definitely could pass as a Canuck with that tuque...
ReplyDeleteLovely, as always, Maddie!
ReplyDeleteI'll take the cherry-topped cake and that peculiar pantomime horse, please.
The is a clip from a bizarre movie I saw this weekend, Le Testament de Orph'ee
DeleteLooks like a good Monday mood to me!
