Joy by name and pure joy to listen to. I had never heard of her but I love her voice. you can hear the influence of the greats that have gone before her especially Sarah Vaughan but she is very much her woman. She is fabulous and certainly has given me some Joy this morning.
Gorgeous and talented! And she's only 26. She was a "Beautiful Woman of the Day" on my other blog -- https://bwotday.blogspot.com/2024/12/samara-joy.html
I love me some Samara Joy! Sublime is correct. I feel like I'm transported to a supper club in NYC in the 40's. I cannot believe this voice is coming from a 27 year old, just gorgeous!
My daughter introduced me her about two months ago and I was blown aways by her voice and music. A rare talent to hear a voice like this today. She’s making the jazz singing ancestors proud!!👏🏾
An absolutely classic and pure jazz style. Great singers like Carmen McRae and Sarah Vaughan come to my mind hearing her tunes. I have immediately become a fan.

She really is Debs. Mind-blowing for a 26 year old. And what a beautiful woman and role model.
