A late Monday today. After the snowstorm and these cold temps, it was nice to have a longer lay in than usual for a Monday morning, making a cloudy Monday more bearable. I look forward to a half day. But what I wouldn't give to be in that A-frame above! In the woods. Away from it all. Happy Monday dears.

I love the moose on the porch.
ReplyDeleteLove the Photographs, especially the Hood Ornament.
ReplyDeleteGotta miss hood ornaments...
DeleteI should have known !
ReplyDeleteIt’s that promiscuous blond house boy that’s keeping you warm. :-)
I can not tell a lie.
DeleteI love the moose on the snowy veranda, and the sweater on the greyhound hood ornament!
ReplyDeleteThat moose looks like he wants his winter coat back from the blonde houseboy! And you know it's cold when hood ornaments are wearing wool sweaters... LOVE the new header too.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, a nice and much appreciated and classy mood board of yours.
ReplyDeleteA couple of weeks ago we had a short episode of snow here in western France, wrecking small havoc among people not used to walking and even less driving on iced streets/roads. For many of my colleagues it's bee a fine excuse to work remotely from their warm and comfy home. Although I rather did the 'Lancelot' thingy and dared to go onsite, which was just me saying "let me put on a warm - and beautiful - scarf, my very British pied-de-poule coat and these whatever-the-weather-proof Portuguese-made shoes and go to the workplace.
A little achievement indeed. But hey, don't we all take these baby steps to face whatever our current world is aiming at us, should it be the weather or politics?
I wish you and all your readers well.
Laurent
PS: as chauvinistic as it may seem, thank you for your new blog's header showing a Citroën DS (pronounced déesse in French, as in 'godess'). It remains an epitome of the engineering and design audacity the car industry once has been capable of.
DeleteCheers,
Laurent
The story behind that picture was my grandfather had a Citroen DS when I was a wee one. I recall getting two or three rides in it. It was the toast of the neighborhood. I adore those cars. My grandmother later sold it, but had she not, I'm sure I would have been the only one that would have wanted it. I could see me driving that beauty.
DeleteOh, babes.
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how much I would like to be in that little cube in the middle of a snowy forest! Ugh. My Monday has been SOMETHING!
XOXO
Could you imagine being in that Cube house? Just imagine the Kiki and the debauchery we would have together in the house.
DeleteYou do this so well! That hood ornament is adorable. Love the reindeer/shadows photo.
ReplyDeleteI feel bloody freezing now! Pass me the blond - I need warming up. 😍 Jx
ReplyDeleteI'd like to get away from everything, too. You can half of the A-frame and I'll take the other half. As long as we each have our own bathroom, we'll be fine. Our dogs will take care of each other, and we can take turns cooking. We'll never turn on the news. We'll lock up our phones. No laptops. What a lovely thought.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Ah yes, I see I'm in good company as others seem to like the same pictures I do, moose and sweater vested hood ornament. Lovely pictures as usual! You're in PA, right? How does the weather break down? Like how many months of snow? and rain? Since its a northern state I assume the summer isn't too hot, like here. As I think I've mentioned before it's on our short list of places to move too. We just can't afford to stay here more than a couple more years. Our land is valuable, we made a good purchase years ago, but unless one of us can find another high paying job for at least 10-15 more years it's not going to keep us out of poverty.
ReplyDeleteLove that moose!
ReplyDeleteCould you imagine going out to your porch and saying that?
DeleteWhat I wouldn't give to be with you in the A frame house. This year just gets worse and worse.......
ReplyDeleteYes I've had no issues, as far as the country goes 2026 is definitely not starting out very good.
DeleteMoose on the Porch!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep the blond in the fur coat nice and warm, you may have to snuggle up.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are all out of harm's way; make sure that the snow and ICE don't get ya.
ReplyDeleteAlas.... it's not the snow I worry about..
DeleteWaking up to find a moose that size on one's veranda in the morning is sure to kill any mood. Unless it's a chocolate mousse, of course.
ReplyDeleteLove the Mars Attacks GIF!!
Furthermore a chocolate mousse served off the chest of one of those two guys.
