MOOD BOARD

A perfect winter weekend here was enjoyed. But now it's the dreaded time of the week...time to drag oneself out of a warm bed and back into the rat race for another work filled week. And contrary to the dismay of the rotten current administration, who have eliminated Martin Luther King Jr Day and Juneteenth as free entry days for two holidays honoring African Americans, We the People will still observe them and celebrate the life of a swell and brilliant man. HWSNBN only wishes and will wish he would be as highly regarded as Martin Luther King Jr, but will fall way short, and will always be associated with negative. Martin Luther King Jr is widely regarded as a great man, a pivotal leader in the American Civils Rights Movement, known for his powerful advocacy for racial equality and justice through nonviolent protest. His leadership coupled with his iconic speeches have cemented his legacy, earning him a Nobel Peace Prize and ensuing his enduring impact on the world....and we are in such desperate need of another of him right now.

There now? Are we all awake?
Happy Monday!

  1. Wonderful Photographs, and Yes we are celebrating MLK today here in the Lil City by the Red. Also, over in Mississippi, they are celebrating two birthdays: Martin Luther King and General Robert E. Lee. That's Mississippi for you.

    1. He already did it. He removed that day as a Payday for many places and substituted it with his birthday. He's a rat bastard.

  7. What a truly honorable, decent man Martin Luther King was. He would be apalled at the goings on in the U.S.A.
The whole world just gets worse and worse.

The best to all on MLK Day :)
The critics will rue the day as they denigrate MLK !
The reactionary right always go on about a colorblind society, as they themselves embrace racism.

  11. A beautiful MLK Day mood board. Is there such a thing as a cock on the wall instead of a fly on the wall?

    Love,
    Janie

    1. There is Janie, at least in my house. It gets tiring having the swat at cocks instead of flies.

  14. That last whopper! A needed mood board too for the day. We sure do have a famine of role models these days of those who fight for We The People...sadly.
