  10. Say a special "Hello" to your mother from me.

Don't know if you've seen the UK news and all the trouble about the restrictions placed on Manchester but a local queen called Misty Chance has had a say. She's great!

Hope all is well with you and buster. Xx

  11. I played this for Warrior Queen before she finished her Happy Juice. The ad did not convince us to seek out a Texaco outlet.

  18. Oh, dear. Ethel. She was such an iron horse. You never wanted to get on her bad side! I thought her terrifying. And her disco album!!!! A friend of mine had it and would play it while we got ready to go to the bars. It was amazingly wonderfully awful. I wish I still had a copy. This may have been the scariest thing I have seen this month! Thanks for the Halloween terror! Kizzes.

    1. She reminds me very much of a dearly departed grandmother. And both had huge hair.

  19. How fun! I remember that commercial. Good old Ethel - initially hired only because that booming voice could hit the back row the theatre. She fooled them all and became a star.
Enjoy the time with your mom!

  20. That voice has always sounded (to me anyway) like a bunch of cats yowling in tune after getting their tails stomped on! I'd be a lousy stereotypical gay man :) Enjoy your mom's visit.
