HALLOWS EVE

Happy Hallows Eve Everybody!!!!!!
How do you like my little pumpkin I craved for the trick or treaters tonight? After the kiddies leave I'll be going to a little Hallows Eve soiree myself to hopefully find a trick. I meant treat, yes that's it a treat!!!!! In the meantime me share a new take on a holiday classic........

Twas the nightmare before Halloween and all through the town,
Not a creature was stirring not even the clown.
The coffins were placed in the street with care,
In hopes that the Grimmreaper would soon be there.

The children were all snug in their beds,
With the visions of the hunt fresh in their heads.
With I in my corset and Grimm in his cap,
Had just woken up from a long summers nap.

When out on the lawn there was a great splatter,
I leapt from the bed to see what was the matter.
And there before me was the Mad Hatter,
As he came through the window with a great shatter.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen dead
The executioner severing off all their heads.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
A great black horse that gave way to great fear.

With a tall lanky fellow, so ugly and slick,
He was the twin brother of St. Nick.
He called in a voice so smooth and so sure,
He called all the zombies to see where they were.

Now Tzopar, now Sabra, now Shea and Teddy.
On Ostara, on Chay, on Chiloris and Freddy.
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Now slash away! Slash away! Slash away all!

As dry leaves, so crinkly and dry,
They set off like a fire and howled to the sky.
So up to the house-top they slithered and crawled,
The neighbors staring totally appalled.

And then in a heart-beat I heard on the roof,
The screeching and moaning of each one going poof.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
St. Nicolas had a great frown.

He was dressed all in black, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with blood and soot.
A bundle of weapons he had flung on his back.
He looked like a solider, just opening his pack.

His eyes how demonic! his dimples don't apply.
His cheeks were like a flower about to die! His nose like a buzzing fly.
His rotten little mouth was drawn up in a snarl,
And his beard of his chin was a black a the barrel.

A stump of his finger held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke, it encircled his head like a wraith.
He had a sunken long face with a cavernous belly,
That smelled like a bowl of rotten calves foot jelly.

He was yucky and crudy, a perverted old creep.
And I laughed when I saw him in spite of no sleep.
A fall of his eye and a break of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had everything to dread.

He spoke every word, but never went to work,
And he pucked in the stockings, then heaved with a jerk.
With laying his finger aside of his nose,
After giving a belch and a fart, up the chimney he rose.

He slinked to his horse and gave his zombies a whistle,
And away they all slunked like the thorns of a thistle.
But I heard him shout out as he rode out of sight,
"Many nightmares to all! And to all a horrible-night!"

May you all have a Wonderful Hallows Eve tonight!!!!!

There is always something interesting to see in New Hope, but this time of year it gets even more neat. Boy, I love this town.

My nightly stop at Max Hanson's Market......

Some of the lovely front doors of the homes in New Hope....

eeeekkkkk........

The Carversville Inn....perfect stop for a stiffener.......

A town resident playing sax.....

 Hemworth Vintage Clothing.....

Meanwhile up the street at Love Saves the Day. a vintage emporium for everything......

One of many pubs.....

Over in Lambertville, you may recall the lady's house I feature every year who designs the paper mache and tree branches creatures, and then gives them their personality, and has upwards of 30 now! She recently was a guest on The Chew where she and her creatures made national news. These are just a few of my favorites.......

And  her two newest ones.......

I'm sure her house is a must stop on Trick or Treat night.

SCREAM QUEENS, HOLD ON TO YOURSELVES.......

Ryan Burke

Back when I was doing drag regularly, the only thing better to me than drag itself, was doing drag at Halloween. You could really be any character you wanted to be, or break away from your signature style. But some queens have a unique, gothic, almost bizarre, or eerie feeling to them, almost as if it's Halloween year round. Of course the Queen of Scare would have to go to Sharon Needles, which I featured in a scary post a week ago here. But some of my other favorites are these gals, who are downright talented, and from the more odd form of drag, but still flawless and elegant none the less.

MADDELYNN HATTER

Maddelynn is a definite mover and shake in the drag world. She, in my opinion needs more exposure for all to see. And a name HAS NEVER fit a queen more. Her acts are flawless, odd, manic, and can get very bizarre. If your ever in NYC, check one of her shows out, there excellent!!!!! And can you beat that look?!?!?!? It's like the Mad Hatter and Joker had a love child!

PEACHES CHRIST

oHHHHHH Peaches Christ!!!!! This queen has been using bizarre and scare for years in the San Franciso area with her infamous show in the Castro for her Midnight Mass show, and always infuses a great deal of comedy. Another must see!

PORCELAIN

Very proud of our hometown gal, Porcelain! From Philadelphia, she can put on one hell of a show. Very limber, and has even done routines on a stripper pole!!! She is probably very neck and neck with style and the bizarre right next to Ms Needles. And Porcelain can paint a face........FLAWLESS!!! All hail the Dark Queen!!!!!

YARA SOFIA

I had known of Yara for sometime, but she was pretty much unknown to most people till RuPaul's Drag Race. But has she taken off since. Her style has gotten darker and eerie, making her a perfect choice for our scream queen collection. Half the time I'm scared out of my wits what will come out her hair creations, or if one of those long braids or extensions will lash out and grab my neck!!!!!!

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
WHO is the SCARIEST QUEEN of ALL?????

EEEEEK.... IT'S MONDAY

And that should be scary enough in itself!!!!!

Have a good Monday y'all!!!!!!
